Architects create three-dimensional buildings out of two-dimensional drawings; whereas photographers reverse the process by capturing buildings as two-dimensional pictures. The new series architecture series Multifacets reveals the diversity of Hong Kong cityscape through a graphical approach in photography and furthermore tells the stories of our built environment. Buildings have many faces, and so does our city. The series flattens the lines and geometries of architectural facades and turn them into abstract and minimalist compositions. The wide range of buildings selected for the series have great significance in themselves and witnessed a particular part of our history. And I hope people would appreciate these stories behind the pictures and architecture.
